The Chelmsford Rocks story
Chelmsford Rocks began as a personal website in January 2006. It grew into a collection of local music history, photographs, tickets, posters, reviews and memories.
Why the archive is being rebuilt
The original site eventually disappeared, but much of its material survived in saved files, photographs and online archive material. This rebuild brings those pieces together again without losing their historical context.
The aim is not to pretend that every date or recollection is certain. Where sources disagree, the disagreement can be recorded. Where something is a personal memory, it is presented as a memory.
Add to the Archive
The story of Chelmsford music did not stop in 2015. If you have something from later years — or something missing from the earlier archive — please get in touch.
Photographs, tickets, posters, programmes, flyers, memorabilia, memories, corrections and information about bands or venues are all welcome.
