as "colors" for
instance.
It is difficult to
remember all the
songs he played
together with "The
imposters" (Pete
Thomas on drums
and Steve Nieve
on key boards
from the original
Attractions plus
Davy Faragher on
bass, but I know
he played these:-
Everyday I write
the book
Out of time ( great
cover of the
Stones classic)
Man out of time
I want you
Stella hurt
Earthbound
Clubland
I can't stand up for
falling down
Alison
Watching the
Detectives
Tear off your own
head (it's a doll
revolution)
After nearly 2
hours of
continuous great
song after great
song he finished
with "Purple Rain"
(yes that one) and
left to great
applause.
He came back and
announced that he
was playing the
encore as a tribute

to a good friend of
his Levon Helm
(drummer and
founder member of
The Band) who
had passed away 2
days earlier. What
a great encore it
was - he played a
spine tingling
version of The
Band's "Tears of
Rage" before
finishing,
inevitably, with
"What's so funny
about Peace Love
and
Understanding".
The tour now
heads to the UK so
I recommend you
Chelmsford guys
get out and see
him if you can get
a ticket!
