Directly described surviving advert
Sunday 21 December, year unknown — Skin Alley with Hawkwind and Decameron
The preserved advert gives the date as 21 December at 7:30 p.m. and the price as 7/6, but does not print a year. The Where & When transcription has a separate Hawkwind entry reading “21.1269”; the apparent match in day and month is not enough to assign 1969 to this bill.
Other reported Civic Theatre listings
- Genesis + Man — advertised for 28 February 1972. Later sources differ about the actual Genesis date, so the advertised date should not be treated as a confirmed performance date.
- Osibisa — reported in the venue material; a dated primary source is not linked here.
- Groundhogs + Brewers Droop — reported in the venue material; date and direct source remain to be established.
- Van der Graaf Generator + Medicine Head — reported in the venue material; date and direct source remain to be established.
These entries are retained as research leads and are not presented as independently verified event records.
Where & When transcription
The surviving index includes this literal Hawkwind wording: “21.1269 Civic Theatre + 03.01 71 & 15.11.70”. Its compressed punctuation and apparent date sequence are preserved as transcribed; it is not expanded into three confirmed Civic Theatre performances here.
