Event Source Ledger

A working evidence ledger for the selected event layer. It records what the surviving Where & When wording actually supports, what remains different or incomplete, and where further research would be most useful.

Archive rule: this page does not decide which source is “right”. A selected event record, a surviving index entry, a ticket or programme, a memory and a later research source can each have different evidential status. Conflicts remain visible until stronger evidence resolves them.

What counts as agreement?

“Agrees” means the surviving source wording supports the same artist and date/venue combination. It does not mean that every part of the selected event record has been independently verified.

What counts as conflict?

“Conflict” is reserved for a material difference such as a different year or date. The archive does not silently choose a preferred version merely because one looks more plausible.

What counts as partial?

Partial evidence is useful evidence. A source naming an artist and venue but omitting a date should remain exactly that rather than being upgraded into a complete event record.

Next research layer

The strongest targets are contemporary programmes, posters, tickets and press listings for the high-priority conflicts. Where the archive already contains such material, it remains the preferred route over general web recollection.
