No date inflation
A poster without a year does not become a dated event simply because a date-looking phrase is visible.
A working crosswalk for the retained Chelmsford Rocks material. It connects source records to the event or venue they illuminate, while keeping the evidence level visible.

| The Two Eyes Club — Flickr source | The Two Eyes Club, Chelmsford | Visible May Blitz advertisement and Maurice Hyde recollection. The supplied screenshots do not show the year. | Source lead | Seek year, address, bill and club-period corroboration. |
| Chelmsford Folk Club — 1995 closing | Chelmsford Folk Club / The Cock and Bell, Writtle | Contemporary newspaper cutting headed “Folk fans sad as club closes”; closure context, Richard Christian, Malcolm Campbell and final-period venue reference. | Contemporary paper | Use as a closing anchor alongside the existing Folk Club venue and recording evidence. |

Comments are later recollections. | Ticket + poster | Keep the ticket/poster as the primary supplied evidence; later comments remain recollections. |
| Paul Cleary oral-history lead | Chancellor Hall, Odeon and Chelmsford punk scene | The retained research record notes an Essex Archives oral-history catalogue entry covering Paul Cleary's experiences in Chelmsford, including Chancellor Hall, the Odeon, Nasty Habits and Anorexia. | Research lead | Use the catalogue as a route to further first-hand material; do not turn catalogue subjects into individual gig dates without supporting evidence. |
| Folk Club recording collection | Chelmsford Folk Club | Surviving recording-backed material provides dated performance evidence across the club's history, with catalogue references retained separately from venue assumptions. | Recording evidence | Cross-reference individual recording catalogue entries with contemporary paper and venue evidence. |
A poster without a year does not become a dated event simply because a date-looking phrase is visible.
Later comments remain memories unless another source supports the specific event detail.
Supplied screenshots, scans, tickets and source records remain accessible rather than being reduced to a single summary sentence.
Venue sequences and individual performances remain separate research questions until the surviving evidence connects them.
