Status: strong contemporary evidence. A contemporary Record Mirror tour notice names Chelmsford Chancellor Hall on 14 January 1979. This is not currently ticket-backed in the surviving archive.
The evidence
The 12 January 1979 issue of Record Mirror, published immediately before the tour, announced Jimmy Pursey's new label signings — The Angelic Upstarts and The Invaders — on a 13-date tour under the banner Pursey's Package. The itinerary gives Chelmsford Chancellor Hall — January 14, between Peterborough Technical College on January 13 and Bath Technical College on January 16.
The contemporary notice is stronger than a later database entry because it is a period booking announcement made before the show.
