Radio Stars — Chancellor Hall, 3 September 1978
Three recollections are attached to the ticket-backed Radio Stars event record. The original Facebook/comments screenshot is preserved separately as source evidence.
Duncan Egleton
“I saw them and if I remember correctly they were booed off, I think they were quite a few years older than the audience and seemed just to be hanging on the coat tails of punk. They did bring out a decent LP though ‘Songs for swinging lovers’ which if you listen to it now, sounds good and of the era.”
Julian Dench
“You are both correct - I was also there. I liked the album.”
Alistair Gordon
“I remember seeing them although I don't remember them being booed they weren't bad the great John Peel liked them and i'm sure they did a couple of sessions for his show not bad album and some decent if not outstanding singles”
Matching image: the surviving Radio Stars ticket is on the event page. The comments screenshot is a separate source image; it has not been altered.

The Undertones + The Deep Throats — March 1979
Ken Wrigley's recollection is linked to the 11 March 1979 event record. The supplied screenshot contains the comments; the surviving tour advertisement is separate source evidence.
“My band the Deep Throats supported them in March to promote our single. It was a blinding night.”
“Had a beer with Fergal in the Lion and Lamb before we went on stage.”
Matching event photograph: none has been securely supplied in the current archive. The memory is therefore kept with the event record rather than attached to an unrelated photograph.

Going forward
- Photographs will be matched to the appropriate event, venue, person or source page wherever the evidence supports the match.
- People's comments will remain separate text records and will never be printed over the photograph.
- A comment without a matching photograph will remain attached to its relevant event/source record and be labelled as awaiting a matching image.
- Unmatched images will remain preserved but will not be presented as though their subject has been established.
